Flood Warning until 03:15AM Monday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast New York, including the following counties, Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester.

* WHEN...Until 315 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Local media have reported water rescues.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 155 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 5 and 8 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... New City, Newburgh, Ossining, Peekskill, Monsey, Nanuet, Haverstraw, Suffern, Mahopac, Monroe, Nyack, West Point, Sloatsburg, Cold Spring, New Windsor, Pearl River, Orangeburg, Greenwood Lake, Pomona and Harriman. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
