Watch Commander's Night Report - July 9, 2023

TOTAL CAD CALLS: 891

1. Robbery (1628) Arch Road and 99 Frontage Road, Park District
The male victim, 20, was walking when the suspects contacted him. One suspect hit the victim with an unknown object. The suspects took the victim’s property before fleeing. SUSPECT: A Black male adult and two unknown race males.

2. Person Shot (2300) Downing Avenue and Interstate 5, Seaport District
The male victim, 49, was sleeping in the area when an unknown suspect shot him. The victim self-transported to an area hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. No suspect information.

3. Weapon Arrest (0154) 400 Block of West Weber Avenue, Civic District
Officers responded to the area on a report of a subject armed with a handgun. Officers located the suspect and found a handgun on his person. The suspect was arrested without incident. ARRESTED: Angelo Audelo, 18, for weapons violations and possessing a stolen gun.

4. Battery on an Officer (0204) 2700 Block of Burlington Place, Bear Creek District
Officers responded to the area on a disturbance report and contacted the suspect. Officers attempted to arrest her for public intoxication, but she resisted. She was eventually placed in handcuffs after a brief struggle. While in the patrol unit, she spat on one of the officers. ARRESTED: Veneese Haynes, 35, for public intoxication, resisting arrest, and battery on an officer.
