Subject: Media Alert: Street Closures for the Upcoming Street Resurfacing Project
 
 
We have an upcoming resurfacing project throughout East Chicago. The project consists of curb and sidewalk replacement and milling and paving. If you receive this letter then you may be in an area where construction will cause traveling conflicts. Starting on Wednesday July 12^th, we will start with sidewalk replacement. This operation will last approximately 2 weeks, weather permitting. Another letter will be posted when milling and paving is going to start. Listed below are the streets that will be part of this project. Streets will be done in this order. 1.      135^th Ave (Hemlock to Deodar)
2.      Hemlock St (Michigan to 135^th)
3.      Canal St (Dead End to Michigan)
4.      McCook Ave (149^th to 148^th)
5.      W 145^th St (City Limits to Homerlee)
6.      White Oak Ave (149^th to 148^th)
7.      Marginal St (S Roxanna Dr.) (Wegg to Shell)
