INCIDENT: PC 211 – Robbery
LOCATION: 15300 block of Rancherias Road, Apple Valley
VICTIM(S): 30-year-old Male of Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Douglas William Coffman, 21-year-old Male of Apple Valley
SUMMARY: On Sunday, July 9, 2023, at approximately 9:30 a.m., deputies from the Apple Valley Police Department were dispatched to a report of fight at a business on Rancherias Road. Deputies arrived on scene and contacted the victim outside the business.
Deputy Kenneth Mullins investigated and learned the victim had been attacked following a verbal altercation at the location. The suspect, later identified as Douglas Coffman, took the victim’s backpack and left the scene. The victim did not require medical attention.
Deputy Mullins obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s residence. Douglas Coffman was at the residence when the search warrant was served and was found in possession of the victim’s property. Coffman was arrested for robbery and was transported to High Desert Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
