Press Release: Strong Arm Robbery Veterans Memorial Park

Yesterday, at 9:00 am, CCPD Officers responded to a call for service of a robbery that just occurred at Veteran’s Memorial Park, located at 4117 Overland Ave.
Officers arrived on scene and met with the victim who explained that he was sitting on the park bench when he was approached by two male Hispanics. The victim reported that one of the suspects forcefully removed his cell phone from his hand, followed by the other suspect striking him in the back of the head, causing him to fall unconscious onto the ground. The suspects stole his backpack containing electronics and other personal items and fled towards Overland Ave and out of view.
The Culver City Fire Department responded and transported the victim to a local hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
