All traffic lanes of southeast 3rd Avenue between Taylor Street and Fillmore Street are blocked due to a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. An Amarillo Police Officer was struck while crossing the crosswalk of southeast 3rd Avenue. The officer was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The involved officer's family has been notified. The Amarillo Police Department Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating. Traffic infront of the Amarillo Police Department will be affected for a short time.
