Arrest Made for Indecent Exposure in San Andreas
On Sunday, June 25th, at about 10:30 am, the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office received reports of a male engaging in indecent activities in Turner Park, San Andreas.
Upon arrival, deputies encountered the suspect, 46-year-old Jamey Maroney of San Andreas, actively engaging in indecent behavior, endangering the peace and well-being of park visitors and surrounding residents. When approached by deputies, Maroney displayed aggressive behavior and threatened to physically harm the deputies. Despite repeated verbal commands to cooperate and several de-escalation efforts, he physically resisted the deputies' attempts to arrest him. As the suspect continued to resist law enforcement personnel, a Taser was deployed to bring him under control. He was taken into custody without further incident or injury.
Maroney was booked into the Calaveras County Jail and now faces charges related to indecent exposure, threats against law enforcement officers, and resisting arrest.
The Calaveras County Sheriff's Office takes indecent exposure incidents seriously and would like to thank the citizens who alerted law enforcement.
