INCIDENT: Possession of Stolen Vehicle
LOCATION: 12600 block of 2nd Street, Yucaipa
SUSPECT(S): Erasmo Lupercio, a 39-year-old resident of Yucaipa
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On March 17, 2023, the victim’s 2001 Yamaha motorcycle was stolen in Desert Hot Springs. The theft was reported to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and the motorcycle’s information was entered into the stolen vehicle system.
On Tuesday, June 11, 2023, at about 6:54 p.m., the victim saw his stolen motorcycle in the front yard of a residence as he drove down 2nd Street in Yucaipa. The victim called 911 and deputies arrived as two males rolled the stolen motorcycle into the back yard of the residence. Deputies surrounded the property and called out the occupants. A search warrant was served at the residence and Erasmo Lupercio was found hiding under a bed.
Lupercio was linked to the stolen motorcycle and arrested for possession of stolen property, as well as an unrelated warrant. Lupercio was booked into the Central Detention Center and the stolen motorcycle was recovered.
