* Flash Flood Warning for... East Central Orange County in southeastern New York... Putnam County in southeastern New York... Northern Westchester County in southeastern New York...

* Until 445 AM EDT.

* At 400 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across parts of the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Newburgh, Mahopac, West Point, Cold Spring, New Windsor, Harriman, Fahnestock State Park, Kiryas Joel, Jefferson Valley, Putnam Valley, Woodbury, Washingtonville, Firthcliffe, Highland Falls, Vails Gate, Cornwall On Hudson, Fort Montgomery, Highland Mills and Central Valley.
