Hydrant Flushing will continue today Friday 7/14/23 from Station 26 to Station 28.5, Jasper to Raven and Goldbug. This is an integral part of our water distribution system’s operation and maintenance plan. Once every two years we flush the entire Distribution System. We try and do this during low flow months to keep good quality water throughout the entire distribution system. During this maintenance exercise we will note any problem valves or hydrants so we can plan any necessary repairs if needed. Every three years we flow test all the Hydrants. Good fire flows helps keep your homeowners insurance rates as low as possible. You may experience some brief periods of discolored water and fluctuations in water pressure during the flushing exersise. Water will clear and pressure will resume to normal once our crew has moved out of the area.
