Forecast: Air Unhealthy for Sensitive People FRI
Wildfire smoke from western Canada is forecast to move into the area on Friday and will reached the level of "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups" Friday afternoon, evening, and overnight.
Cleaner air will move in Saturday morning. The best time to excercise or complete outdoor activities is Friday morning, or wait until Saturday.
Youth, elders, and those with breathing conditions or diseases may feel impacts from reduced air quality at the current monitored level. Healthy adults may not feel any effects, whereas some people are more sensitive and will feel symptoms.
Sensitive groups are encouraged to avoid strenuous activities and limit their time spent outside. A HEPA-approved air filter used inside can help reduce air pollutants, especially while sleeping. Staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water can also help your body deal with the impacts of air pollution.
