* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of east Tennessee, including the following counties, Carter, Johnson, Sullivan and Washington. Portions of southwest Virginia, including the following counties and independent city, City of Bristol, Scott and Washington.
* WHEN...Until 730 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 422 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol Tn, Bristol Va, Elizabethton, Abingdon, Mountain City, Walnut Hill, Hampton, Central, Oak Grove, Spurgeon, Bluff City, Glade Spring, Damascus, Watauga, Harr, South Holston Dam, Shady Valley and Hilander Park. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
