Suspect in custody related to Thursday’s stabbing death 
Earlier today, July 15, 2023, Sheriff’s deputies and investigators arrested 65-year-old Roberto Solis Mayorga, charging him with murder in connection to the stabbing death in Laurel Village on Thursday.
Solis Mayorga was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Beaufort County Detention Center where he will await a bond hearing.
To recap, deputies were called to 317 Shanklin Road, Laurel Village in Burton shortly after 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 13,, 2023, for a man who was found bleeding in the driveway. It was determined by first responders that the man suffered from stab wounds. He died from his injuries at the hospital.
