Flood Advisory until 09:30PM Saturday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of east Tennessee, including the following counties, Carter, Johnson, Sullivan and Washington. Portions of southwest Virginia, including the following counties and independent city, City of Bristol, Scott and Washington.

* WHEN...Until 930 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 713 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms will spread across the advisory area this evening. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to resume shortly in the advisory area. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area, with locally higher amounts possible. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol Tn, Bristol Va, Elizabethton, Abingdon, Mountain City, Walnut Hill, Hampton, Central, Oak Grove, Spurgeon, Bluff City, Glade Spring, Damascus, Watauga, Harr, South Holston Dam, Shady Valley and Hilander Park. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
