* Until 815 PM MDT.

* At 719 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 13 miles west of Variadero to near Newkirk, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include... Quay, Santa Rosa, Fort Sumner, House, Ragland, Montoya, Puerto De Luna, Newkirk, Santa Rosa Lake State Park and Cuervo. This includes the following highways... Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 273 and 320. Highway 60 between Mile Markers 312 and 333, and between Mile Markers 345 and 346. State Road 104 between Mile Markers 38 and 72.

People outside should move to shelter inside a strong building, and stay away from windows.
