The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Tornado Warning for... Central Morris County in northern New Jersey... South central Sussex County in northwestern New Jersey... North central Somerset County in northern New Jersey...

* Until 600 AM EDT.

* At 531 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Peapack And Gladstone, or 11 miles west of Morristown, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include... Dover, Hopatcong, Boonton, Wharton, Rockaway, Morris Plains, Mount Arlington, Mendham, Mountain Lakes, Peapack And Gladstone, Chester, Victory Gardens, Succasunna, Succasunna-Kenvil, Lake Telemark, Lake Mohawk and White Meadow Lake. This includes the following highways... Interstate 80 in New Jersey between mile markers 29 and 42. Interstate 287 in New Jersey between mile markers 43 and 48.
