Update on Hampton Shooting Suspect From The Desk of SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN.
Earlier today, at approximately 2:30pm, Henry County Sheriff Scandrett contacted Clayton County Sheriff Levon Allen and advised him, the Henry County Murder suspect was spotted in Clayton County.
Sheriff Levon Allen immediately gave the word to his commanders to activate all Sheriff’s Deputies with a Gun, Car, & Badge to flood the area and search for this suspect.
Sheriff Levon Allen’s second call was to
Clayton County Chief of Police Kevin Roberts, to coordinate between the two agencies to keep Clayton County safe.
All command structures of Clayton County worked together and communicated during this process:

Clayton County District Attorney
Clayton County Commissioners
Southern Regional Hospital
Shots were fired during the hunt and apprehension of the murder suspect resulted in the suspect being deceased. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is handling this aspect of the investigation. Please direct any questions to the GBI.
Sheriff Allen has stated time and time again, “Clayton County will not be a hiding spot or safe haven for criminals.”
Be sure to take 285 and bypass Clayton County, because, if you break the law in Clayton you will not prevail. We will take you to jail.
