1. Resisting Arrest (0810) 00 Block of South American Street, Civic District

Officers responded to a report of a violation of a restraining order and contacted the suspect. The suspect resisted, and a taser was deployed to take the suspect into custody. ARRESTED: Phillip Gitthens, 48, for resisting arrest, violation of a restraining order, and vandalism.

2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (1316) 1100 Block of East Martin Luther King Boulevard, Seaport District

The male victim, 38, located his stolen vehicle in the area. He confronted the two suspects near his vehicle. One of the suspects struck the victim with a metal object and shot at him with a firearm. SUSPECT #1: Hispanic male, 40-49 years old, wearing a red shirt and white shorts. SUSPECT #2: Black male, 35-45 years old.
