* WHAT...For the first Heat Advisory, temperatures up to 97 expected. For the second Heat Advisory, temperatures up to 97 expected.

* WHERE...Sandia and Manzano Mountains including Edgewood, West Central Mountains, Southwest Mountains, and Jemez Mountains.

* WHEN...For the first Heat Advisory, from Noon today to 8 PM MDT this evening. For the second Heat Advisory, from Noon to 9 PM MDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.

* AFFECTED AREAS: WEST CENTRAL MOUNTAINS ... SOUTHWEST MOUNTAINS ... JEMEZ MOUNTAINS ... SANDIA/MANZANO MOUNTAINS INCLUDING EDGEWOOD

Instructions:

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
