The Moorpark Police Department invites our community members to join us for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, from 6-8 PM at Arroyo Vista Park. The event will be located in Parking Lot D at the east end of the park.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie that make our neighborhoods safer. We will have representatives and displays from several of our specialized units, including our Aviation Unit, Command Post, SWAT, Unmanned Aerial Systems Unit, K-9, Mounted Enforcement Unit, Tactical Response Team, Volunteers in Policing, Explorers, motor officers, detectives, and recruitment staff. Sheriff Fryhoff and Undersheriff Reilly will also be in attendance.
Employees from our local Starbucks will be on site to provide drinks and treats, free of charge. The Kona Ice truck will also be on site and will be donating a portion of their proceeds to Moorpark’s Explorer program.
Moorpark Police Chief Darin Hendren said, “This event provides a great opportunity to not only get out of the house and meet your neighbors, but to also meet and interact with the deputies who patrol your neighborhoods. By working together, we can help reduce crime and keep Moorpark a safe place to live and work.”
