The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Northeastern Monmouth County in central New Jersey...

* Until 530 PM EDT.

* At 122 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Long Branch, Sandy Hook, Middletown, Tinton Falls, Holmdel, Red Bank, Lincroft, Navesink, Elberon, East Freehold, Eatontown, and West Long Branch. This includes the following highways... Garden State Parkway between mile markers 105 and 115.

* AFFECTED AREAS: MONMOUTH, NJ
