5/06 - 6:25 p.m. - A Millstadt Officer stopped a vehicle for suspended registration, in the 400 block of West Madison Street. The subject is known to the department and has a suspended driver's license. When the officer asked the driver to get out of the vehicle, the subject drove away at a high rate of speed. The officer attempted to stop him however, he terminated in accordance with department policy. On May 17th the St. Clair County State's Attorney charged the driver, Tyler A. Nickel, age 29 of Smithton, with two counts of Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding. His bond was set at $10,000. He was apprehended at a later date.
