On July 20, 2023, at 1:31am, Officers were dispatched to Guitars and Cadillacs on shots heard in the area with a vehicle leaving the scene. While enroute, dispatch received another call for a gunshot victim located at i40/Julian. Officers went to the gunshot victim and found that the victim was involved in a traffic crash and had been shot several times. Officers rendered aid until AMR arrived, and then the male victim was transported to an area hospital with life threatening injuries. Officers located the crime scene, and it was processed by CSI officers. This incident is still under investigation by the Violent Crime Unit.
