INCIDENT: Reckless Driving
LOCATION: Bear Valley Road/ Cottonwood Avenue, Hesperia
SUSPECT(S): Geovanny Hernandez, 20-year-old, resident of Hesperia
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at approximately 7:39 p.m., deputies with the Hesperia Police Department responded to the area of Bear Valley Road and Cottonwood Avenue in the city of Hesperia, in reference to a single vehicle traffic collision.
Deputies arrived on scene and determined a silver Infinity G35 was traveling eastbound on Bear Valley Road in the number one lane, passed the intersection of Cottonwood Avenue, at a high rate of speed. The driver of the Infinity lost control of the vehicle causing the vehicle to collide with a block wall, shrubbery and a large business sign. The driver, identified as Geovanny Hernandez, a 20-year-old resident of Hesperia, was issued a citation for CVC 23103- Reckless Driving and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days. Due to Hernandez’s recklessness, he will be re-evaluated with the DMV to retain his valid California driver’s license. Hernandez did not sustain any injuries during the collision.
