The Village has conducted three public workshops over the past five months to develop a plan for the future development and design of the University Avenue corridor. The purpose of the plan is to shape and guide the continued evolution of University Avenue over the next 10-20 years by defining the type, mix, format and intensity of desired and preferred land uses in that area. It will also include redevelopment planning for key sites, detailed development character recommendations, integration of community goals, and implementation strategies.
 
After each workshop, an online survey has been available for residents and interested parties to provide additional feedback. Survey #3 is available online until July 31 at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ShorewoodHillsParticipation3. You can review the PowerPoint presentations for Workshop #3 and other historic information obtained during the process by going to https://www.shorewood-hills.org/univavedesign.
 
After the survey closes on July 31, a draft version of complete University Avenue Corridor Plan will be presented to the Plan Commission for review. Then the Board will consider and adopt the Plan Commission’s recommended version of the Plan to be included as an amendment to the Village’s Comprehensive Plan.
