Two residences in Sheldon were struck by gunfire overnight; one teen injured 
Shortly after 10:30 p.m. on July 20, 2023, Sheriff’s deputies responded to Archie Sumpter Road in Sheldon, SC for reports of gunfire.
Two neighboring residences were struck by bullets that were fired from the road.
A sixteen-year-old who was sitting on the couch in one of the homes was struck by a bullet that penetrated the walls.
He was taken to Beaufort Memorial Hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury and has since been released.
