LOCATION: Bear Valley Road & Joshua Road, Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Keith Dewayne Sullivan, 64-year-old male of Apple Valley
SUMMARY:
On Friday, July 21, 2023, at approximately 8:08 pm, Deputy Gabriel Dominguez of Apple Valley Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Bear Valley Road and Joshua Road in the Town of Apple Valley.
The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Keith Dewayne Sullivan, did not stop for Deputy Dominguez. Sullivan continued driving his vehicle in an attempt to evade Deputy Dominguez, at times reaching speeds of approximately 90 mph. As Deputy Dominguez followed the vehicle, Sullivan forced other drivers off the roadway and went into oncoming traffic.
Sullivan was arrested and was transported to High Desert Detention Center for housing where he is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
