1. Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest (0815) 300 Block of South San Joaquin Street, Seaport District

The male victim, 56, was in the area when he became involved in an argument with a known suspect. The argument turned physical, and the suspect stabbed the victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was located by officers and was taken into custody. ARRESTED: Nino Malana, 45, for assault with a deadly weapon.

2. Resisting Arrest (1218) Holman Road and Wakeman Drive, Valley Oak District

Officers were in the area when they saw a known wanted suspect. The suspect ran from officers but was caught after a foot pursuit. The suspect continued to resist and spat on an officer. Officers used a restraint device to take the suspect into custody. ARRESTED: Eklil Samadi, 20, for battery on an officer, resisting arrest, battery, and vandalism.
