SUSPECT(S): Kumphat Tep, 40-years-old, resident of Chino Hills
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Saturday, July 22, 2023, Chino Hills deputies investigated the repeated sexual assault of two children under 14 years of age. The suspect was identified as Kumphak Tep, a 40-year-old resident of Chino Hills. Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Tep’s arrest.
On Sunday, July 23, 2023, deputies from the Specialized Enforcement Division assisted Chino Hills deputies and apprehended Tep at his residence.
Tep was booked at the West Valley Detention Center for PC 288(a) – Lewd Lascivious Acts with a Minor Under 14, PC 287(b)(2) – Oral Copulation of a Victim Under 16, and PC 261(b)(1)-Rape.
