Wilmington Police have arrested a man on gun charges.
On July 17, at approximately 9:36 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 100 block of North Scott Street, in reference to a person with a gun. Upon arrival, officers made contact with 24-year-old Anthony Pena, who was taken into custody without incident. Following a brief investigation, officers recovered a loaded 9mm handgun.
Pena has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Aggravated Menacing
- Assault – Third Degree
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released after posting $22,000 secured bail.
