Shooting in Southern Vigo County 
On July 25th at approximately 2:03am, Vigo County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to Regional Hospital on a gunshot wound. Upon arrival Deputies learned that a shooting had taken place at the 1000 Block of Park Place Court inside Willow Crossings apartment complex. Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office also responded to lead the investigation.
After the initial investigation and speaking to several witnesses, it was determined that the male victim (19yrs of age) and the male suspect (18yrs of age) had an altercation during a planned meeting where illegal activity was suspected. A firearm was displayed and discharged. It was learned both males had sustained gunshot wounds from the incident. Both individuals had sought treatment at two different hospitals. As of now one male has been released and one male is still receiving treatment. Injuries are not considered life threatening at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
