Sinatra Summer Streets begins Sunday; Register for the 800 Monroe Resiliency Park Community Meeting; Donate school supplies; and more

Sinatra Summer Streets begins Sunday 

The City of Hoboken will host Sinatra Summer Streets on Sunday, July 30, on Sinatra Drive from Fourth Street to 11th Street. The waterfront boulevard will be closed to vehicular traffic from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to allow for more open space for public recreation. 

Temporary No Parking Signs have been posted and residents will not be able to move their parked vehicles along Sinatra Drive between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Sunday. Police Officers will be on site to manager potential traffic impacts and drivers are advised to use alternate routes. 

Bike Hoboken's monthly community bike ride will utilize the closed street this Sunday. Participants must bring a helmet and meet at Church Square Park at 11 a.m.

Register for the 800 Monroe Resiliency Park community meeting Hoboken community members are invited to register for a virtual community meeting on the 800 Monroe Resiliency Park on Thursday, Aug. 9, at 6 p.m.  The project team will present two draft design concepts for the park that are informed by community feedback gathered on the initial concept designs presented at the April public meeting. The community input received during the upcoming meeting and survey will then be used to create a final concept design for the City's fourth resiliency park.   To register for the meeting, go to hobokennj.gov/800monroemeeting. Donate school supplies

The Office of Constituent Services has partnered with non-profits HOPES and FamilyHood to collect school supplies for residents in need. 

Donations of crayons, pencils, pencil cases, notebooks, and folders can be dropped off at Hoboken City Hall at 94 Washington St. between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, until Aug. 15. 

Be an Arts & Music Festival vendor

The City of Hoboken will host the annual Fall Arts & Music Festival on Sunday, Oct. 1, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The festival, which takes place on Washington Street between Observer Highway and Seventh Street, draws approximately 30,000 visitors from across the state. 

Artists and crafters interested in participating in the festival can reserve space or get additional information by contacting Cultural Affairs Administrator Geri Fallo at [email protected] or call (201) 420-2000 Ext. 5100 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
