Due to the construction of the new apartment building being built on Marshall Court, the bike path between Marshall Court and the new overpass will be temporarily shut down from 7:00 am on Monday, July 31 until approximately 6:00 pm on Saturday, August 5. This is due to the massive crane that will be brought in to install large pieces of the structure. The crane will have a footprint that exceeds the width of Catafalque Drive. We understand this may be disappointing to many of you given that the bike path was just reopened. The Village had hoped this part of the work on the apartments would have been able to overlap with the overpass construction but that timing did not work out. The Village worked with the developer to find the least disruptive option possible, which will require the construction work hours to extend into the evening (though still complying with the Village’s quiet hours), and we kept the detour path as short as possible so as to limit the impact on users.
Please be aware that the reopening date could potentially be impacted if there is significant rainfall that prevents work from occurring but, as of now, we fully anticipate it to reopen the evening of August 8.
