South Brunswick Police are looking for information on a suspicious incident involving a juvenile who was walking along Route 27 last Wednesday afternoon. A parent called police last Wednesday evening July 19, 2023 to report her juvenile daughter was walking near Wawa on Route 27 a few hours earlier and a man in a vehicle began to speak with her. The daughter went home and later told her mother about the interaction. Detectives were able to find video of a blue Honda Civic seen in the area at around the time the incident may have taken place. Detectives are unsure of what the driver said to the juvenile or why he stopped near her. Video of the area shows the Honda pulling into the Wawa around 2:45 PM. Several minutes later the Honda leaves the Wawa parking lot and heads southbound on Route 27. The vehicle then turns around on Williams Street and into the lot of United Dental parking lot. The vehicle pauses in the parking lot for a few minutes and then takes off northbound on Route 27.

Police are releasing the image in the hopes of speaking to the driver. The driver was described as a black male who was wearing a red shirt. Anyone who may know the driver is asked to call South Brunswick detectives at (732) 329-4646
