Wednesday, July 26, Violent Crimes Detectives were able to obtain a warrant on the suspect in this case, James D Horton, male, age 32. Amarillo PD PACE officers located him and brought him to the PD and then he was booked into the Randall County Jail on the warrant for Aggravated Assault w/Deadly Weapon.

On Monday, July 24th, at 8:03PM, Officers were called to the 3500 block of Meadows on a person being shot. When they arrived, they found one male victim with a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital. The suspect was not on scene. Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit interviewed witnesses at the scene. This case is still under investigation.
