This is a message from the Matawan Police Department and the Office of Emergency Management:

Tomorrow, Saturday, July 29th, Main Street Donuts, in conjunction with the Matawan Economic Development Commission, will hold its inaugural Shark Run 5K! For the safety of the participants, the following roads will be closed from about 7:45 am until the conclusion of the event at approximately 10:15 am.

Jackson Street from Fountain Ave. to Ravine Drive,
Washington Ave.,
Grant Street,
Harding Blvd.,
Union Street,
Chestnut Drive,
Daniel Drive,
Fawn Drive,
Indian Trail,
Ravine Drive,

To accommodate this event and minimize inconvenience, anyone travelling within the affected areas, please plan your travel with these road closures in mind. If you are a resident along the race route, please keep in mind that approximately 325 runners will be participating in this event, making the roadway impassable for vehicles.
