INCIDENT: PC 451.5(a) - Arson
LOCATION: 200 Block of I Street, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Tiffany Smith, 41-Years-Old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): City of Needles
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at approximately 11:25 a.m., deputies with the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department responded to a report of a fire near the 200 block of I Street in the city of Needles. Through investigation, it was determined the fire was intentionally started, however the suspect had fled the scene.
On Thursday, July 27, 2023, at approximately 7:00 a.m., deputies located the suspect, identified as Tiffany Smith, near the 1200 block of Broadway. Smith was consequently arrested for arson and transported to the High Desert Detention Center for booking. Smith remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $30,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
