* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall from thunderstorms is possible.

* WHERE...The entire Detroit Metro Area and points south, including the following counties: Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, Washtenaw and Wayne.

* WHEN...From late this afternoon through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A very moist airmass coupled with the build up of instability today will likely lead to showers and thunderstorms this evening which may persist into tonight. Rainfall totals around 1 inch can be expected for most areas, but the potential exists for localized totals of 3 inches or more if the training of thunderstorms occurs. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
