Wildfire reported near Dobson Knob east of Old Linville Rd. in North Cove. Crews are assessing the incident. 
Forestry crews from the US Forest Service are currently assessing a wildfire that is burning in a remote section of the Pisgah National Forest near Dobson Knob. The remote area is west of Old NC Hwy-105 and east of Old Linville Rd in North Cove. The fire was reported shortly before 5 p.m. today. No structures are threatened. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
