Escondido Celebrates National Night Out
The Escondido Police Department will celebrate the 39th Annual National Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, August 1st from 5 to 8 p.m. at the East Valley Community Center, 2245 E. Valley Pkwy. National Night Out is an opportunity for citizens across America to send a powerful message about the importance of neighborhood unity, awareness, safety and police-community partnerships.
We invite you, your family and friends for a free evening of entertainment and fun for all. Some children’s activities will include face painting, a bike rodeo (bring bicycle/scooter and helmet) and various interactive displays at some booths. Community organizations will be on hand to provide information and resources on crime prevention, drug and violence prevention, education, and health and safety. Law enforcement and fire department vehicles will be on display, along with a police canine demonstration.
Free hot dogs while they last and free opportunity drawings will be held throughout the evening.
