* At 610 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 4 miles northeast of Newland to 9 miles southwest of Burnsville to 7 miles north of Waynesville, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.
