At 613 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 4 miles west of Foscoe to 4 miles north of Spruce Pine to 9 miles west of Burnsville, moving southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.
Locations impacted include... Spruce Pine, Burnsville, Newland, Crossnore, Sugar Mountain, Grandfather Mountain State Park, Linville Falls, Bandana, Ingalls, and the Blue Ridge Parkway from Linville Falls and Grandfather.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
