Police Seek Public's Help Identifying Burglary Suspect 
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé requests the public’s help with identifying the below-pictured suspect, who was captured on surveillance video removing several items from Newton School on July 10, 2023.
Police responded to the incident, which occurred at approximately 1:40 a.m. Several items, including sneakers, tools, and a tent were taken by the suspect, who was on surveillance video walking inside of the building.
The suspect is described as a light skin Black male, who was wearing a surgical mask, a blue stripe T-shirt underneath an orange reflective vest, a fitted cap with a logo on the front, blue jeans, and black sneakers.
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
