The Green Bay Police Department has arrested a 45-year-old man on suspicion of Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) following a crash into a building on S. Webster Avenue.
Officers were dispatched to the scene on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, around 5:15 p.m. for a SUV that had reportedly crashed into a building in the 900 block and fled.
The suspected vehicle was located within five minutes of the call near Porlier and S. Clay streets. Rescue responded to evaluate the driver of the vehicle for any injuries.
Initial reports by witnesses indicate that the vehicle had gone through a red light before crashing.
No one was inside of the building at the time of the crash.
The investigation is ongoing. No additional details will be released at this time.
