August 1, 2023:
- Officers were dispatched to 63 calls for service, conducted 8 traffic stops, and made 1 arrest.
- Officer Baker conducted a traffic stop near Carlton/Wisner. She arrested a 50-year-old male on two misdemeanor warrants.
- Officer Baker went to a residence in the 900 block of Jackson St. to assist City Inspection.
- Several members of the Jackson Police Department attended National Night Out at Loomis Park.
- Officer Baker conducted foot patrol downtown.
- Officer Baker took a report for a 12-year-old runaway.
- Members of the Jackson Police Department are investigating a homicide which occurred in the 900 block of Chittock Ave.
August 2, 2023:
- Officers were dispatched to 98 calls for service, conducted 4 traffic stops, and made 4 arrests.
- Officer Debczak arrested a 31-year-old for domestic assault.
- Officer Allison arrested a 22-year-old male in connection with a vehicle theft.
- Officer Elston investigated a home invasion in the 800 block of Washington Ave. A 22-year-old male was arrested.
- Officer Allison arrested a 45-year-old male on three outstanding felony warrants; two from Jackson County and one from Ingham County.
- Officer Marcum arrested a 44-year-old male on an outstanding warrant.
- Officer Marcum took a report of a walk-away from the hospital.
- Officer Reasoner and other officers took a report of a 13-year-old runaway.
- Officer Thoresen took a report of a 38-year-old male with cognitive impairments who was missing from his residence.
- Officers Reynaga and Simon conducted foot patrol in the central business district of downtown.
