LOCATION: Saint Mary’s Hospital, 18300 State Hwy 18, Apple Valley
VICTIM(S): 20-year-old male of Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Orlando Collins, 33-year-old male of Hesperia
SUMMARY:
On Saturday, July 29, 2023, deputies were dispatched to a report of a battery at Saint Mary’s Hospital in the Town of Apple Valley
Deputies Kenneth Mullins and Gregory Guzman responded to the hospital and learned a male subject punched another subject several times. Deputies contacted the reported suspect, Orlando Collins, regarding the incident and Collins was combative. Collins was arrested without incident and transported to High Desert Detention Center.
The victim in this case received minor injuries. Upon review of the case, the Victorville District Attorney’s Office filed misdemeanor charges of battery on the grounds of a hospital and resisting an officer.
