Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Suspect in Motor Vehicle Theft 
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé requests the public’s help with identifying the below-pictured suspect, who was involved in a motor vehicle theft on July 21, 2023.
The incident occurred at approximately 5 p.m. when the victim parked her car, a 2011 Hyundai, in the area of 6 Pomona Avenue. When she returned, the vehicle was missing. The female suspect pictured below was captured on surveillance serving as a lookout for a male accomplice, who stole the vehicle that police have recovered.
The suspect is described as a heavy-set, light-skinned Black female with red hair and a tattoo covering her left forearm. She was wearing black shorts and a black shirt with an unknown design across the front.
