Driver Safety and Mock Traffic Stops
EVERYONE feels anxiety when a police officer activates their red and blue lights behind them. Especially young or new drivers, or those on the Autism Spectrum.
Beginning in September 2023, the Tewksbury Township Police Department will be offering new drivers and those on the Autism Spectrum the opportunity to participate in mock traffic stops. An officer will first discuss general driver safety, the importance of being a safe driver, and what to do if they are pulled over or in an accident.
