Today the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office has filed charges against two men for the alleged theft of gaming cards during the Gen Con convention on Aug. 1 in downtown Indianapolis.
 
Thomas Dunbar and Andrew Giaume have each been charged with Theft (Level 5 Felony) for their alleged roles in this incident. The charges are a result of an investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department in conjunction with New York State Police and the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
 
“During the course of the investigation, the stolen merchandise was located and recovered as evidence.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Detectives have developed strong persons of interest regarding the theft of $300,000 worth of “Magic: The Gathering” gaming cards from Gen Con Indy 2023. The theft took place on August 1st, 2023.

Police would like to speak with: Thomas J Dunbar (aka TJ Dunbar) and Andrew Pearson Giaume (aka Pearson Giaume). Both are residents of New York City.

INDIANAPOLIS- IMPD detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying two people of interest possibly involved in a theft of upwards to $300,000 worth of gaming cards.
 
On Wednesday, August 2, 2023, in the downtown area of Indianapolis. The people of interest reportedly acquired a pallet jack, removed one pallet of gaming cards, and moved them to an unknown location. The alleged theft took place before the opening of events in the downtown area and while vendors were setting up their displays at various times.
 
Anyone with information regarding the identity of the people in the photos, their whereabouts, or the location of the stolen property should contact Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317.262.8477 or (TIPS) to remain anonymous.
