On 8/4/23, at 10:30 AM, members of the Pacific Southwest US Marshals Taskforce Team 1 (PSWUSMS) responded to the City of Jurupa Valley and arrested 47-year-old Jose De Jesus Barraza for lewd and lascivious acts with children under 14 years old.
Barraza is being held on a $900,000 bail pending a future court date.
The suspect, in this case, was a gymnastics coach that operated out of the community centers in West Covina. The West Covina Police believe there may be additional victims that have yet to come forward. Detectives would like to encourage any of those victims or anyone that has information that would aid in this investigation, to contact the police department at 626-939-8500.
